Pete Mountord previously exhibited @ The Wine Gallery in ' 3 forms of Colour' (October/November 2001) and 'Colour by Numbers 1' (March/June 2003), as well as being the founder member and leading organiser behind Art 3

Pete's work utilises, colours in relation to a variety of existing systems. This allows him to have a defined structure he must work within, whilst also being able to apply endless concepts and approaches within this framework.

What is produced can be as much about the system being used, as it is about a particular theme or emotion. For example, based from the structure of Cuisenaire rods. - a system of 10 counting rods, found in schools each with associate colours), the artist's work has related the colours directly to numbers. The works in this exhibition are from the blue (number 9) series, produed intermittently over the past few years.

Pete has a solo show @ First Edition in Canary Wharf, London E14, which opens in January 2005.
