For our late summer exhibition at the Wine Gallery Art 3 presents 'Toys & Trees', new paintings by Sue Lucas and Elizabeth Spiro.

SUE LUCAS

For 20 years Sue Lucas has been as a Graphic Designer, and for the past few years has run her own studio & company Badger Design. Having painted sporadically over the years, Sue has started to exhibitit her work again, working out of her converted shed as a studio in her back garden.

Sue has more recently taken inspiration from her sons toys (he now wants them back), as a starting point for paintings that explore form, texture and colour.

ELIZABETH SPIRO

Elizabeth Spiro studied at Saint Martin's School of Art in the early 1960s, and has painted for many years whilst also building a parallal career working as an Officer for the Government Economic Service. In 1998 Elizabeth left this employment to concentrate on her work full-time.

Her paintings are mostly landscapes, painted around her London home in Wandsworth Common, her small cottage in West Sussex, and her husbandıs home town in Georgia in the South of the USA. She also travels in Britain and on the Continent painting every summer.

Her work has been exhibited in galleries and other venues in London, Sussex and in Germany, including at the Gallery Von Abercon in Munich and at the Kunsthaus Poorhosaini in Seeheim-Jugenheim. It has also been exhibited with her grandfatherıs and fatherıs work in Wroclaw in Poland (previously Breslau) and in the London Jewish Culture Centre.
