Leonard has been involved with photography since his early 20's. Initially working as a photo journalist back in the then Yugoslavia, Leonard also developed his own personal work - without the editorial constrains - embracing a wide variety of subjects. Leonard continued in this way after moving to Britain in 1992.

The work produced over the last 7 years consists of botanical photography, mainly flowers and foliage, as well as the digital images derived from those. He has specialised in macro photography and his images range from colourful and graphic to abstract.

To add another touch of distinction to his work, photographs are presented as 'Giclee' quality digital prints. These are printed and mounted directly onto a deep canvas and varnished with acrylic or polyvinyl acetate, giving them subtle brushstroke texture.
