The past year has been a busy one professionally for Louise Hardy. As well as being selected for the Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, the Brixton Open and London's Affordable Art Fair, she successfully exhibited at the Battersea Contemporary Art Fair and at Oxford University. This debut show at Chelsea's Wine Gallery features a large body of new work, depicting landscapes both real and imaginary, characterised by a love of colour, texture and composition.

Louise lives and works in South London. She has shown annually in the capital since 1998 and is particularly well-known for her work based on the changing industrial scapes of the River Thames. These and other more recent work feature in many private collections, both nationally and internationally, including the FSA (Financial Services Authority) who acquired a significant part of "River City Sky", her West End show in 2000.

The show at the Wine Gallery is dedicated to the memory of her grandmother, Rita Frankenhuis.

All works are part of the 'Untitled 2003' series
