Wine Gallery artists
Here is some requirements for artists who we have chosen to exhibit at the Wine Gallery. Firstly about the layout of the invitation card and the information that we require to go on it, and secondly on how we require the artists to prepare their work to be ready to hang on the first Monday morning of the exhibition.
DESIGNING YOUR EXHIBITION CARD

For all exhibitions at the Wine Gallery, we require the artists to utilise a house style for the back of the invitation cards sent out. This is to enable Art 3 to build up continuity between the exhibitions and help us establish the shows we put on into a wider consciousness. The diagram on the left is shown for a one/two person show, for larger group shows we may require the same information to be re-organised a little (e:g the information on Art 3 would go on the left hand side of the card rather then on the right hand side), but we would contact artists in this instance.

See below for a reworked example (to take into account recent restructuring) of a card,similar to one for the In Motion show in January 2005. the logo is on the other side but the rest is close to these guidelines. Contact Pete to receive a copy of the Art 3 logo to put on your card

PREPARING YOUR ART WORK TO HANG
Because we have to hang most of the work at The Wine Gallery from hooks on a picture rail, with a piece of fishing wire dropping down, we require artists to follow these guidelines. In order to stop the work leaning forward too much, we require all artists to place rounded D-rings (not squared as the fishing wire sticks when we try to pull it down) 1" from the top of the frame. Make sure these are securely fastened and only use D-rings that have two screws. Please don't put any wire on, as we do this in situ at the gallery.
